At OAH we recognize the significance of the relationship between humans and animals and aspire to provide an environment that will nurture that bond. We are a family owned full-service veterinary hospital and strive to offer the best care possible for your best friend with a personal hometown touch.

Dr. Thomas Oakes graduated with a Doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 2011. He is a member of the FVMA and AVMA. Dr. Oakes is a sixth-generation Floridian and lifelong resident of West Orange County, growing up just one mile from OAH. He has always had a passion for helping the community and hopes to continue doing so through helping people help their pets.

When not helping animals Dr. Oakes spends time with his young boys and his wife Lisa. They are members of First United Methodist Church. Dr. Oakes and family enjoy boating, fishing and spending time outdoors.

Lisa is originally from Winter Haven, FL, attended the University of Central Florida and has a background in Real Estate. She is married to Dr. Oakes and they have two 8-year-old boys and three fur children, Biscuit, who is a Pug and two cats named Bernie and Skye. She loves working with people and their pets and has always had a passion for animals. In her spare time, she enjoys travel, nature and spending quality time with family and friends. Lisa looks forward to meeting you and your furry family members.
